In today's digital age, having a strong online presence is essential for any organization, including charitable ones. As part of my boot camp course, I recently embarked on a project to create a brand-new website for Hillsidehoppers, a dog walking charity dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and their owners. Using the user-friendly website builder, Wix, I took on the task of structuring the web pages and laying the groundwork for a dynamic and informative online platform. Let's dive into the details of this exciting project.
Building the Structure:
When constructing a website, a solid structure serves as the backbone, providing a framework for future content and functionality. With this in mind, I started by carefully planning and organizing the pages that would make up the Hillsidehoppers website.
The Home Page: The first point of contact for visitors, the home page required a captivating design that would immediately engage users. I focused on creating an impactful layout, featuring eye-catching images of happy dogs and a concise mission statement that encapsulates the organization's purpose.
About Us: To give visitors a better understanding of Hillsidehoppers, I designed an About Us page. Here, I will add detailed information about the charity's history, its team of dedicated volunteers, and the values it upholds. This page will also highlight the organization's achievements and future goals.
